The ingredients needed to make Pinakbet:
  1. Get 1/4 lb pork (thinly sliced)
  2. Get 2 piece tomatoes (large)
  3. Make ready 1 tbsp ginger (minced)
  4. Make ready 1 medium onion, chopped
  5. Take 3 clove garlic, crushed or chopped
  6. Get 4 tbsp shrimp paste
  7. Prepare 1 cup shrimps
  8. Prepare 1/4 medium squash / pumpkin (cubed)
  9. Make ready 1 bunch string beans (cut into 3 inch pieces)
  10. Prepare 1 medium eggplant, sliced
  11. Make ready 6 piece okra
  12. Make ready 3 tbsp cooking oil
  13. Prepare 1 cup water
  14. Get tsp salt
  15. Take pinch pepper

Steps to make Pinakbet:
  1. Heat oil in a big pan
  2. Sauté garlic, onion, ginger, and tomatoes.
  3. Add pork and cook until brownish
  4. Put in shrimp paste and the shrimp. Cook for 2 minutes
  5. Add water and simmer for 10-15 minutes or until pork is tender. Add a dash of salt and pepper.
  6. Add the squash. After 5-7 minutes, add the eggplant.
  7. Add the remaining vegetables. Season with a bit of salt. Do not overcook.
  8. Serve with steamed rice. Enjoy! :)
