Serotonin is known as the “feel good” chemical substance and it tells your brain how you should be feeling at all times. The more serotonin you have, the happier you are going to feel. Nuts, along with raising your mood, can be a superb protein source.
Cold water fish are wonderful for eating if you wish to beat back depression. Cold water fish such as tuna, trout and wild salmon are chock full of DHA and omega-3 fatty acids. These are two things that raise the quality and the function of your brain’s grey matter. It’s the truth: consuming tuna fish sandwiches can actually help you fight your depression.
Some grains are really excellent for fighting off bad moods. Barley, quinoa, millet, teff, etc are all excellent for helping you be in a happier state of mind. These foods fill you up better and that can help elevate your moods too. Feeling starved can be awful! The reason these grains can improve your mood is that they are easy for your stomach to digest. They are easier to digest than other foods which helps raise your blood sugar levels and that, in turn, improves your mood.
Green tea is really excellent for your mood. You were simply expecting to read that here, weren’t you? Green tea is rich in an amino acid known as L-theanine. Research has proved that this amino acid induces the production of brain waves. This will better your brain’s focus while at the same loosening up the rest of your body. You were already aware that that green tea helps you become healthier. Now you know that applies to your mood as well!
Now you can see that junk food isn’t necessarily what you should eat when you wish to help your moods get better. Try a couple of of these hints instead.
