  5. Take 1 medium size Chayote, peeled, sliced into small cubes

Instructions to make Chayote with Njahi:
  1. Boil your Njahi and let them dry completely
  2. In a Sufuria, put a little amount of cooking oil. Let it heat and add your onions, cook for a minute or two and add the garlic - ginger paste, cook for two minutes. Add your tomatoes and let them cook for two minutes, add the tomato paste, cook for 3 minutes. Now add the Chayote let them cook for 3 - 5 minutes.
  3. Add the Njahi.
  4. Add a glass or two of water, let it boil and reduce the heat, cover to let the Chayote cook till soft. When ready remove from heat, let it rest a little and serve with rice, chapati, ugali, rotti or even bread, or just take it alone as a meal.
