Add the cold rice, and fry, sprinkle some soy sauce over the mixture and break up clumps in the rice. (Rice must be cold or the dish will come out gummy.) Foods That Can Make You Happy
For the most part, people have been trained to think that “comfort” foods are bad for the body and should be avoided. Often, if the comfort food is a sugary food or some other junk food, this is true. At times, comfort foods can be very healthy and good for us to consume. There are a number of foods that basically can raise your moods when you consume them. If you feel a little bit down and in need of an emotional pick me up, try some of these.
Eggs, believe it or not, can be actually terrific at fighting back depression. Just see to it that you do not toss the egg yolk. The yolk is the part of the egg that matters most in terms of helping elevate your mood. Eggs, the egg yolks particularly, are loaded with B vitamins. B vitamins can be fantastic for lifting up your mood. This is because these vitamins help your neural transmitters–the parts of your brain that affect your mood–run better. Try to eat an egg and feel better!
Put together a trail mixout of a variety of seeds and nuts. Almonds, cashews, peanuts, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, etcetera are all great for elevating your mood. This is because seeds and nuts have lots of magnesium which boosts your brain’s serotonin levels. Serotonin is called the “feel good” chemical and it tells your brain how you should be feeling at all times. The more serotonin in your brain, the happier you’ll feel. Not only that, nuts, particularly, are a terrific protein food source.
If you wish to defeat depression, try consuming some cold water fish. Tuna, trout, mackerel, herring and wild salmon are all rich in omega-3 fats and DHA. These are two substances that promote the quality and function of the grey matter in your brain. It’s true: consuming a tuna fish sandwich can basically help you fight back depression.
It’s not difficult to fight your bad mood when you are eating grains. Barley, quinoa, millet, teff, etc are all good for helping you be in a happier state of mind. They help you feel full also which can truly help to improve your mood. Feeling famished can actually bring you down! The reason these grains are so good for your mood is that they are not difficult for your stomach to digest. These foods are easier to digest than others which helps jumpstart a rise in your blood sugar which in turn kicks up your mood to a happier place.
Green tea is excellent for moods. You were just expecting to read that in this article, weren’t you? Green tea has been found to be rich in an amino acid referred to as L-theanine. Studies have shown that this amino acid essentially induces brain waves. This will improve your brain’s concentration while simultaneously calming the rest of your body. You likely already knew it is not difficult to get healthy when you consume green tea. Now you are well aware that green tea helps you to raise your moods too!
Now you realize that junk food isn’t necessarily what you need to eat when you wish to help your moods get better. Test out these suggestions instead!
