Hello everybody, it’s Louise, welcome to our recipe site. Today, I will show you a way to make a distinctive dish, kefta kabob. It is one of my favorites food recipes. For mine, I’m gonna make it a little bit tasty. This is gonna smell and look delicious.

Kefta (or kofta) is a deliciously spiced and tender type of Moroccan kebab made using ground beef or lamb. The mixture is flavored with cumin, paprika, minced onion, coriander, and parsley and formed into skewers. The cinnamon, cayenne pepper, and mint leaves are optional but highly recommended. Mash the garlic into a paste with the salt using a mortar and pestle or the flat side of a chef's knife on your cutting board.

The ingredients needed to make Kefta Kabob:
  1. Prepare 2 tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil
  2. Prepare 1 1/2 tbsp fresh chopped cilantro
  3. Prepare 1 1/2 tbsp fresh chopped mint
  4. Get 1 1/2 tbsp fresh chopped parsley
  5. Prepare 1/2 cup finely diced onion (yellow or spanish)
  6. Get 1 fresh finely chopped garlic clove
  7. Get 1 tsp salt or to taste
  8. Get 1 tsp cumin
  9. Prepare 1 tsp pepper
  10. Take 1 lb ground beef (I like 80/20)
  11. Get 1 tsp chili pepper flakes (if desired)
  12. Prepare 1/4 cup water

In a large bowl, stir together beef, parsley, tomatoes, Aleppo, allspice, mint, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, onions, salt, and pepper. Grilled kofta (or kefta) are skewers of ground beef and lamb mixed with fresh parsley, onions, garlic and warm Middle Eastern spices! Instructions to make Kefta Kabob:
  1. mix all ingredients by hand in a bowl except for oil, until well incorporated for about 1 minute.
  2. Form into golf ball size balls and flatten into 1/2 inch thick oval patties.
  3. Place patties on plate and put in fridge for atleast 20 to 30 minutes to let ingredients incorporate. You can do this the night before and let sit overnight.
  4. Before cooking, take meat out for atleast 5 to 10 min to bring closer to room temperature so meat cooks evenly.
  5. Heat Oil in nonstick pan or grill pan on med - high heat. When oil is heated place about 6 patties to sautee leaving room between, so it can sear and not steam.
  6. Let sear for 3 to 4 min on each side. You should have a beautiful caramelized brown finish.
  7. You can place on paper towel or wire rack to rest until all pieces are cooked.
  8. patties can be served in warm pita bread with hummus and/or tzatziki sauce. Feel free to add tahini sauce or a spicy chili sauce for heat! can also be served along a side of rice ( basmati or jasmine rice preferred)
  9. During the summer this dish is best on the grill bc of the great char flavor you get! same cooking method, med high heat, 3 to 4 min each side. let them rest for a couple min to retain moisture.

Take one portion and shape into an elongated patty like a torpedo and run a skewer through it. Set on waxed paper until time to cook. Put together a few trail mix of nuts or seeds. Peanuts, cashews, sunflower seeds, almonds, pumpkin seeds, etcetera are all terrific for helping to boost your mood. This is possible as these foods have a bunch of magnesium which boosts your production of serotonin. Serotonin is known as the “feel good” chemical and it tells your brain how you should be feeling day in and day out. The more of it you have, the better you are going to feel. Not just that but nuts, in particular, are a terrific protein source.

Cold water fish are excellent for eating if you want to combat depression. Salmon, herring, tuna, mackerel, trout, etc, they’re all loaded with omega-3 fatty acids and DHA. Omega-3 fatty acids and DHA are two things that improve the quality and the function of your brain’s grey matter. It’s the truth: consuming tuna fish sandwiches can actually help you fight your depression.

Some grains are really great for driving away bad moods. Quinoa, millet, teff and barley are all truly excellent for helping increase your happiness levels. They fill you up better and that can help elevate your moods also. Feeling famished can really make you feel awful! The reason these grains are so wonderful for your mood is that they are not difficult for your stomach to digest. You digest them quicker than other foods which can help promote your blood sugar levels, which, in turn, helps make you feel more pleasant, mood wise.

Studies prove that this specific amino acid can basically stimulate brain waves. This helps improve your mental energy while at the same time making the rest of your body more relaxed. You knew green tea could help you be healthier. Now you are well aware that it helps you to elevate your moods as well!
